I heard this on the radio today and thought it might be interesting for anyone using bananas in their first assignment or anyone with a general interest in bananas. It's an interview with Dan Koeppel, author of Banana: The Fate of the Fruit That Changed the World. Lots of really interesting information. The author even sings the Chiquita banana song.

I do have a general interest in bananas!
This is why I can't listen to NPR. I start off saying this is interesting, then I start thinking, why the frick do I care this much about bananas. Anyway, thats my own personal issues..
Bananas is one of Zoes favorite foods and favorite words to say, but she calls it a "naa". Its real cute.
Are you saying you don't frinkin' care about the origins of the "Yes, We Have No Bananas" song?
