I saw this technique used on a poster about a year ago. Just this week I saw it used on a Threadless T and the new Animal Collective record, Merriweather. Pretty neat, huh?

um...wait. i am very confused. is the above pattern moving? like is it animated? my eyes are very confused...
It's not an animation just an optical illusion. I don't know how they do it, but I was able to find a website with other examples of similar illusions: http://www.moillusions.com/2006/05/animations-category_22.html
